The Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards recognise those at the forefront of building innovation excellence in the housing and construction industry. Imperial Homes Qld received the award for their luxury two-storey home at 95 Thornlands Road, Thornlands. Director – Business Development Steve Miller said the award was a significant achievement and a tremendous accolade from the industry. “We are proud and honoured to receive the award – one that recognises our commitment to quality, innovation and distinction in the prestige market.” “This home truly was a collaborative effort between our client, the architect, ourselves and the team of contractors and suppliers who worked with us on it,” Mr Miller said. “It is testament to what can be achieved with teamwork and a shared passion for building excellence.” The award-winning contemporary four bedroom, 570.3m2 home redefines prestige living and was purposely designed to completely integrate indoor/outdoor living with the large pool becoming the centerpiece and focal point from many rooms. Designed to capitalise on the Moreton Bay views and maximise the use of the oversized block, the contemporary home exudes style, space and modern sophistication. Among the unique features are a staircase and floor made from reclaimed heritage turpentine timber (from a tobacco factory), a gymnasium, butler’s pantry and state-of-the-art home theatre. Over the past 12 years, Imperial Homes has built over 270 distinctive homes in the Greater Brisbane area and established a reputation as one of south-east Queensland’s leading master builders of prestige homes. The company’s commitment to excellence has been recognised with numerous industry awards, including the 2007 HIA-Vero Australian Professional Small/Medium Builder of the Year. Third generation builders, Imperial Homes’ heritage spans nearly six decades in the building industry with the family’s skills, values and strong ideals handed down from grandfather to father and from father to son.
