Local builder wins coveted
Master Builders award
Multi-award-winning Cleveland-based builders Imperial Homes Qld notched
up another success at the 2008 Master Builders Queensland Brisbane Housing
& Construction Awards announced at a gala ceremony on Friday night (4
July 2008).
The boutique family owned business took out top honours in the Best Individual
Home $601,000 - $900,000 category of the prestigious awards from a strong
field of contenders from across Brisbane.
The Master Builders Queensland Housing and Construction Awards recognise
those at the forefront of building innovation excellence in the housing and
construction industry.
Imperial Homes Qld received the award for their luxury two-storey home
at 95 Thornlands Road, Thornlands. more
Best Custom Built Home Award
Goes To Imperial Homes
Imperial Homes Qld claimed its second successive HIA-CSR Brisbane Housing
& Construction Award at a gala ceremony on 4 August 2007.
The reigning 2007 HIA-Vero Australian Professional Small/Medium Builder
of the Year won the Best Custom Built Home $400,000 - $500,000 for a luxury
four bedroom home at 28 Beachcrest Road, Wellington Point.
Imperial Homes Qld Director – Business Development Steve Miller said
this was another great achievement for the company.
“The level of competition was exceptionally high in this category
so we were both surprised and delighted that one of our homes took out this
prestigious award,” Mr Miller said.
The award-winning home is a contemporary two-storey, 400m2 executive residence
that was architect designed to take full advantage of its bayside location.
The owners brief included a minimalist clean-line design and open floors
plans with a strong emphasis on integrated indoor/outdoor living.
Situated on a long narrow lot with direct access to Moreton Bay at the
rear, the home capitalises on its panoramic views and incorporates the large
established Poinciana tree at the front of the home into the design to become
a focal point. more
Judged by industry professionals the HIA Housing Awards recognise excellence
in the construction, design, innovation and technology of housing and acknowledges
the talent of builders and building companies who plan and construct quality
housing that provide aesthetically pleasing solutions.
Last year Imperial Homes Qld took out the Best Custom Built Home up to
$250,000 as well as HIA CSR Queensland Professional Small/Medium Builder
of the Year awards.
Second Construction Supervisor
Appointed
Imperial Homes Qld has appointed a second Construction Supervisor to personally
oversee the workmanship of each home.
Gareth Morgan joined the team recently and will focus on maintaining Imperial
Homes’ high standard of construction and attention to detail.
Gareth has many years’ experience in the building industry, particularly
in residential construction.

Imperial Homes Qld is joining forces with Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland,
the Environmental Protection Agency and Logan City Council to host a Clean
Site Demonstration Day on15 June 2007.

Australian Professional Small/Medium Builder of the Year award at the national
Housing Industry Association (HIA) awards on Saturday night (12 May). more

Local Builder wins QLD Professional Builder of the Year Award
Cleveland-based builders Imperial Homes Qld won the prestigious Housing Industry
Association (HIA) Professional Small/Medium Builder of the Year award on
Saturday night (11 November).
Announced at the gala 2006 HIA-CSR Brisbane/Gold
Coast Housing Awards ceremony, the Queensland Professional Builder
of the Year Award is open to builders from across the state.
It is judged against four criteria: customer service; leadership
in business; business management; and financial management.

Home $300,000 - $400,000 Award at the 2006 Queensland Master Builders Association
(QMBA) Brisbane Housing and Construction Awards announced at a gala presentation
on Friday night (June 16).
